patricia keilbach is a certified yoga teacher (RYT200) and registered with yoga alliance. she was introduced to yoga as a young girl by her mother who cultivated in her a deep appreciation for the art and joy of body movement. she has been practing ashtanga and hatha yoga for over a decade, and became a certified yoga teacher in 2015. in recent years she has studied under the mentorship of Scott anderson, founder of alignment yoga and the blue Mounds dharma center, and with Steve and lokita Carter, skydancing tantra teachers and trainers, and founders of the the ecstatic living institute.

She
specializes in a blended approach to the practice of yoga centered on the foundations of Alignment Yoga, with her additional studies in Ashtanga, Chakra, Hatha, Pranayama, Tantra and Vinyasa Flow also infusing her personal practice and her approaches to teaching. She is deeply committed to breath work and the practice of meditation and she brings elements of this expertise into all of her classes and private sessions.
She is experienced in teaching small and large group classes, as well as facilitating private sessions for clients focused on individual needs and post rehabilitation yoga programs. She is also known for her strong anatomical focus, adjusting the body to better alignment for increased strength and flexibility, and to induce better posture, calmer moods and a more centered and quiet mind.

She has developed two new signature yoga modalities:


Joint Fitness Yoga

a safe, progressive and sustainable approach for developing a lifelong yoga practice. joint fitness yoga focuses on anatomical alignment to strengthen and stabilize the joints, promote mobility, remove stiffness, and bring flexibility to the whole body. Joint fitness yoga uses the three core principles of alignment yoga including grounding, relaxing the palate and full commitment exhale followed by sequences of pre-yoga exercises, action and resistance training and win-win poses and flow movements. The stretches and strengthening postures help preserve and improve range of motion and prevent and slow the development of arthritis through the aging process. joint fitness yoga includes many options for modifying poses in order to protect the joints and reap the maximum benefits of a yoga practice. it aims to provide students with a safe, progressive and sustainable yoga practice that helps and heals rather than hurts, and delivers lifelong benefits.


Chakra tantra yoga

your bliss is here. calm your mind, strengthen your body, open your energy system and ignite your passion. chakra tantra yoga blends chakra energy system work with yoga flow movements and tantra body and breath exercises to calm and center the mind, strengthen and tone the body, open and stimulate the energy system, and ignite internal passion to bring about greater states of joy, awareness and connection. it uses posture, breathing, meditation and exercise moves that work to balance physical parts within the body while meditatively renewing organs, cells and other anatomical building blocks. it involves the reduction of stress and the increase in energy through properly relaxing the entire body and tuning sensitivity levels. The practice promotes full connection with the 7 Chakras, each one containing a different empowerment that allows the body to become one with the mind. Chakra tantra yoga also includes contemplation, visualization, ritual cleansing, repetition of mantras and pranayama exercises for reprogramming the mind and connecting to our divine nature: oneness and pure love. it is a transformative yoga practice and it delivers lasting results.

her favorite parts of practicing and teaching yoga are the joyful feelings, balanced and centered state of mind, flexible and strong body, and self empowerment that she and her students enjoy during and after practice sessions. her enthusiasm for yoga is contagious, her love of teaching is palpable, and her genuine commitment to the 8 limbs of yoga is evident in everything she does, on and off the mat.
